Waihiga (Nairobi, Kenya) is an award-winning, serial social entrepreneur, innovation practitioner, accredited digital journalist, and mediator. He strongly believes that "Africa MUST change the way it tackles poverty."
He has spent over a decade in the incubator/accelerator ecosystem, including PR, communications, media, marketing, and ICT4D, working in over thirty sub-Saharan African (SSA), fourteen MENA, ASEAN, and EMEA countries.
To decolonize and tell the real African story, he is a phenomenal keynote speaker, innovative, a storyteller, trainer, and keen on social businesses.
As a consultant, he works to get companies, governments, development organizations, and civic groups to work together on pan-African and global projects. He is also a community leader and youth policy champion. He writes about Internet governance, digital rights, the future of work, climate change, grassroots policy, advocacy, and citizen and civic education.
