About Me

Just a Girl from the South Side

Lauren Jackson is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Master's of Science in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from National Louis University. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at The Illinois School of Professional Psychology. Lauren works with adults, adolescents, children, families, and couples. She believes that understanding and processing the past shapes the person into who they are now and what they want to be. Through recognition of new self-awareness, clients will work towards their goals through her directive and active guidance.

Lauren’s professional experience stems from a background in inpatient psychiatry, non-profit organizations, and trauma-informed care in an emergency setting. Her interests include stress reduction, barriers experienced in single motherhood, early behavior intervention, child/parent conflict, family dynamics, interpersonal conflicts, personality disorders, work/life/career balance, and trauma. Lauren is dedicated to creating an environment that allows the client to be grounded in meaning to exist, to experience, to emerge or to become. She believes the therapeutic rapport and collaborative efforts in therapy will allow the client to see their wholeness.
