My Approach to Coaching

I love the Lord which means that my faith will impact everything about me, including how I do wellness coaching. I am a NASM certified wellness coach with a specialization in women’s fitness, and a soon to be certified nutrition coach. I also have a background in biblical counseling that will come out in my coaching sessions.

My coaching is going to be holistic because I know we are whole people. Everything impacts everything else. If there is a hormonal imbalance or gut health issue, not only does this impact someone physically, which it does. But it also impacts someone mentally and emotionally. Just like if someone is dealing with something in the mental or emotional sense, that will also display itself physically. Movement has mental and cognitive function and is like a natural mood lifter since moving your body makes you feel good. Not knowing how to deal with stress or how to emotionally-regulate will reveal itself in physical ways, not just mentally.

Self-care is implementing health and wellness to the individual and how it best applies to them. My coaching will consider the individual and their needs, circumstances, and relationships in order to help them build the self-care routine that works for them personally.

A Little About Me

Hey! My name is Sydnee! If I could tell you about me, I would say: I love the Lord. And I want that to change and impact everything about me. I'm a coffee addict. You will almost always see me with coffee in my hand. When I was 20, I spent a semester on a mission’s internship in Bulgaria and on the way there I missed two flights. I decided to just wing it with international travel and that was the result of my lack of preparedness. I enjoy staying busy and accomplishing goals. For years I've decided to have a career in which I could care well for people. So, I spent the last few years studying biblical counseling (finishing up my last counseling certificate now). But I went through some hard things this past year that forced me to go to therapy in order to work through my own stuff. During this time, I began to realize how important it is to practice self-care in our daily lives and during that time I really learned what it meant to care for myself holistically. And I wanted to do this for others. The desire to holistically care for others as whole people increased tremendously as I was working through my own stuff, so I decided to become certified with NASM as a wellness coach so I could help people live healthy lives. I am fully convinced that as we care for ourselves, we are then able to go out in love for God and others! And this is why I've decided to start this wellness business.
