We are an all-dog family. My husband and I started with our first Boston Terrier Albert in 2016. We brought him home from Tennessee in August and then the adventures began!

Puppyhood is hard, people! I took him on soo many walks as a puppy just trying to wear him out! But he always came home with more energy than when we started!

In 2017 I was unemployed for about 2 months in the early summer — if there was ever a “perfect time” to be unemployed, it would be in the summer — and suddenly I had time to spend exclusively with Albert! I created a goal for us to visit all of the State Parks in Indiana and got started right away!

We went to the ones closest to where we lived first and then started going to the ones farther away. We checked off half of the 26 total parks before I found another job!

But the time we spent exploring together sparked something in my heart that made me want to give Albert, and our future dog daughter Edith “Edy”, the best experiences and adventures that I can. And I want to inspire other dog parents to do the same! That is how Wilderpups came to be!
