We are Wild Oaks Homestead
Natalie and Josh, along with their three children, are diving into the lifestyle of homesteading with a particular focus on backyard chickens and gardening.
Why Wild Oaks? Josh and Natalie live and work at Oakridge Christian Camp in SW OK - a year round camp and retreat center. This camp is where Josh has spent the last 21 years of his life and where he and Natalie officially met, fell in love, and were married. The name Wild Oaks ties back into the camp that has had their hearts for so long. They are still a part of Oakridge, but just a little on the Wild side. ;)

Rennet for cheesemaking
Buying a good rennet seemed really overwhelming when I first wanted to start cheesemaking. Do I get liquid? Tablets? Double strength? Vegetable based?

Water hose timer
Watering the garden is one of the most time consuming chores throughout the hot, dry summer. With a water hose timer (or two or three) and a sprinkler, I barely had to do anything except pick my fresh fruits and veggies.
