Our Vision:

Bringing quality fresh produce to an underserved area will create a healthier food environment that supports making healthier choices. Residents of the community will have easy, regular access to fruits, vegetables, produce, and herbs. This not only creates healthy lifestyle opportunities, but many local jobs as well.

Urban food deserts are a serious and detrimental issue in many inner city communities. Urban farms helps those families thrive by making sure healthy produce is readily available. Children who grow up growing food are usually inspired to eat more vegetables. And they will most likely be passing healthy habits on to others in their community, and eventually their own kids.

We believe every community and neighborhood should encourage residents to operate gardens. Teaching children, as well as adults how to grow food will provide a healthy lifestyle, prevent hunger in low income families, feed the homeless, and provide employment and business ownership. It will also produce peace and heal communities by providing a beautiful place for togetherness.

By providing individuals with the knowledge and skills to grow, they can supply their own communities with fresh produce year-round, in all climate conditions. Families, small businesses, entrepreneurs, traditional farmers, hotels, restaurants, corporate offices, universities, nonprofits and all meal providers will benefit from locally grown produce.
