Words from a Wildflower —
Bending, breaking, blooming.
I grew up as “the 8 year later surprise.” Born into an amazing (sometimes crazy) family with four siblings (8, 9, 10 & 14 years old when I arrived) and two genuine parents that patiently loved and doted on me.
At a young age, I was forced to deal with an overwhelming development of anxiety and depression that I couldn’t explain to anyone. The loneliness that crept in when I was little felt like it would never leave me. I grew into an adolescent without a backbone, who hid her trauma and anxiety amongst a charade of laughter and smiles. The funny one, never the pretty one.
Follow me on my journey of self discovery- by confronting wounds from my childhood, becoming a mother (my Nana’s plan), battling postpartum depression to intervening on my narcissistic abuser and advocating for my mental health.
Meet the traumas I was faced with and the powerful people (especially women) that changed my life and started me on a path of personal growth and success- and see where I am today (blessed)!
These are my truths, my imperfections.
As beautiful as any wildflower.
