My name is Chelsea. I’m a mama to an almost two year old little boy named Nolan, and wife to his hard-working daddy. I work full time as a night-shift supervisor at Kentucky Downs, and also here as a full-time health and fitness coach!
I started this journey, not for the physical benefit, but for the psychological. Shortly after my son was born, I developed debilitating PPD. I didn’t want to leave the house, I didn’t want to care for my son, all I did was cry. My relationships with my family were strained, and at this point I didn’t even know what a friend was anymore. I lost my husband and what seemed like my entire life. I felt so alone. Frankly, I just wanted it to all be over. But I had a child watching me. I had husband. A family that needed me. I had to get out of the funk that I was in, but no matter how hard I searched the tunnel was never-ending. There was no light.
And then I came across this amazing opportunity. The chance to build life-long friendships, healthy habits that will last me a lifetime, and a chance to make up the time I lost enjoying my son. After almost two years of living with this horrible disease, I realized that the only change coming is the change that I work for myself. So here I am. Learning. To be a better mom, a better wife, a better friend and sister. Learning every day to love myself and the world around me. Join me, and start loving yourself again too!!
