Once upon a time, a long, long while ago in a faraway kingdom, Aubree Pynn and Skye Moon decided to write a collaborative series titled One Last Chance.
Background: Oak Ridge is Martha's Vineyard for Negros. When picturing it, think of two words: wealth + black. Now, this isn't a promise that any characters birthed in this city will all be affluent, but, they likely will or are well on their way to wealth.
Whiskey Creek was founded by five families, Torrisi, Farina, Cavataio, Martinelli, and Sabini, through incorporation during the 1928 prohibition era.
Initially, the off-the-map town was used to run whiskey created by the Torrisi and Martinellis to other cities and states, with financial help from the other three families. As there was no judicial system, the families often handled disputes their way.
Over time, the Martinelli and Sabini family moved on to other ventures while the three remaining families continued with whiskey and “other endeavors”. As their city grew and thrived, dealings became more secretive to escape criminal persecution.
Despite the power shifts, all five factions are still recognized as a “founding family” and are respected as such. To do otherwise would result in ...unfortunate consequences.
