“To walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.”

Hello brothers and sisters! This blog that you are reading is something far more important than a website. This blog contains our spiritual journey as a community. It contains memories of every instance that has lead us closer to God. It contains our past, present, and the events that will lead us to our future. It contains moments we must never forget. This blog contains our history, and it reminds us why we should continue to strive for holiness, why we continue to come back to God.

Spring Camp 2019

April 26-28

Seventy two hours. Three days. One weekend. Throughout this retreat we hear talks, play games, and make friends. But, most importantly, we learn. We learn who Jesus Christ is. We learn that His love for us is so great, that He’d go through His passion and death all over again even if it was just ONE of us that needed saving. We learn about the Lord’s mercy and compassion. We learn how to grow and deepen the most important relationship in our lives: our relationship with God. I bet many of you can agree that we’ve learned so much this weekend that it’s kind of hard to remember it all. But remember this;
We’re all sons and daughters of the one true King, who are all called “to walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls us into His own kingdom and glory”.

MEMBER Q&A!! (#3)

How has your life changed since camp?

Many can agree that camp is a life changing experience. Throughout the weekend we realize and learn a lot about God and ourselves. One thing that we learned is that change isn’t always bad. Change can be good. So tell us, how has your life changed since camp?

A Message From the Seniors

Sadly, some of our members have graduated from high school and are moving on to the next stage of life. But, before they leave, some of them have a little message that they want to give the community. Let’s see what they have to say!

Josh Serrano

“Sup y’all it’s Josh Serrano. I’m sure most of you know that this is my last year in yfl. I’ve been in this ministry for about 2 years now and all I can say is that it’s changed my life. It’s given me a new perspective on my faith and most importantly Him. Getting to know God through this ministry has been quite the journey these past two years. Through trial and error, I’ve learned a lot about myself as I got to know Him more. If it weren’t through the ministry, I really don’t think I would have learned as much. Fruitful, yuh. But as I reflect on my past during these last few months, I’m super duppppper excited to move onto bigger things in SoCal, but I’m also sad to leave my home, Corntown. It’s been a blessing to have lived here and meet everyone here. Im gonna miss a lot of y’all, especially my family. But I can’t wait to come back here and catch up with all of you guys. I luhhhhh youuuuuuuuu.”

Ruben Tolentino

“Hey all ya'll brosters! Whether I've known you for as long as I've been here or only just met me very recently, I just want to say how glad I am to be able to meet you through this ministry. I know you guys will do great things for whatever it is God calls you to do, and I'll always be here if you need anything!”

Ian Cornejo

“Don’t take your time for granted, don’t hold back. This place is a safe haven, if you want to do something for the youth, you have to take matters into your own hands and make those opportunities happen for yourself. God’s already given you directions, now you just gotta follow them. If you’re looking for a sign whether or not you should do something, this is the sign.”
