Felix moved from Australia to Korea in order to train to become a k-pop star.
After about one year of training at JYP Entertainment, he participated in the survival show Stray Kids. He was eliminated, but along with Lee Minho, he was given a second chance and brought back at the end of the show, where the group would perform both with and without the eliminated members. In the end, it was decided that the group would debut with nine members, including Felix.
