Dai Cheri (die-shuh-ree) is a rock band comprised of four kindred spirits who cut their musical teeth in the Winston-Salem N.C. punk scene of the early 2000s. Members hail from such notable acts as Codeseven, Motorist, Robespierre, Love Craft, Uzzard, Small Planes and others. With influences ranging from punk, glam and new wave, to jazz, metal and electronica, Dai Cheri’s unique style offers familiar comforts with an all together fresh new sound. Self-described as piedmont-power-pop, the band is always experimenting while maintaining a catchy through line. A string of demos released between 2020 and 2022 served as an outlet for artist and songwriter Eric Swaim, but the group is currently in the studio working on their first full length album as a band that is set for a 2024 release.

With equal parts rock n’ roll spiritualism and anarcho-romance, Dai Cheri crafts hook-driven southern gothic tales that are full of townie magic, backwoods drama and fuzzy guitars. Sweet ballads bleed into runaway anthems and power-pop calls to action, weaving together a post-punk folklore where failed american dreams reveal love amongst the ruins.
