Elderweiss Care is a youth-led charity organisation that strives to protect the wellbeing of the elderly.
Formed as part of the Beasiswa Indonesia Maju Angkatan 3’s social project program, Elderweiss Care aims to tackle and resolve both physical and mental health issues often experienced by the senior citizens in order to better provide them with a better standard of living, treading themes of social culture and health.
📍Its activities are based in Medan, North Sumatra.

Events History
Elderweiss Care hopes to contribute by being an important driving force for charity events that help improve the elderly’s health and welfare.
We strive to tackle the nuances of health issues: both physical and mental.
Healthcare Checkup (24 June 2023)
main focus : physical health
Elderweiss Care helps in widening the access for senior citizens get proper medical treatment for the common ailments ageing may bring.
In this event, we visited Panti Jompo Harapan Jaya to donate sufficient daily necessities required & facilitate free medical checkups as well as provisions of the needed medications for the senior citizens there.

Charity Care (20 August 2023)
main focus : mental health
Elderweiss Care organises stimulating activities for the elderly, enhancing their emotional well-being with rays of positivity.
In this event, we provided the senior citizens in Yayasan Taman Bodhi Asri with engaging entertainment, composed of a singing rendition by our volunteers of music reminiscent of the classic styles of the seniors’ time and a pièce de resistance ending involving the elderly and their caretakers singing and performing a light dance to their favourite songs.
We also helped restock their supply of daily necessities with sufficient donations using the remaining and additional funds from our June fundraiser, supported by our generous donors.

Charity Care (22 October 2023)
main focus: mental health
Elderweiss Care takes pride in orchestrating social gatherings that serve as emotional nourishment for the elderly, infusing their lives with a radiant positivity that shines brightly.
In this event, we once again visited Panti Jompo Harapan Jaya with socialization and entertainment, composed of the volunteers and seniors performing a fun light dance together to their favourite 90’s era songs.
We also helped restock their supply of necessities with sufficient donations using the funds from our fundraiser, supported by our generous donors.
