What Is Scandinavian Mythology?
Norse or Scandinavian mythology is the belief of the North Germanic peoples, stemming from Norse paganism and continuing after the Christianization of Scandinavia, and into the Scandinavian folklore of the modern period.
There's a lot of famous movie about this myth such as Thor The Ragnorak that present Loki,Thor,Hela and others creatures.In that movie it shows how the world come to an end.
The Nine Worlds
In ancient Norse mythology and cosmology, Yggdrasil is an immense tree that sprang forth in the primordial void of Ginnungagap, unifying the 9 worlds of Asgard, Álfheimr/Ljósálfheimr, Niðavellir/Svartálfaheimr, Midgard (Earth), Jötunheimr/Útgarðr, Vanaheim, Niflheim, Muspelheim & Hel.
On the topmost branch sits an eagle, the beating of its wings causes the winds in the world of men. At the foot of the tree dwells the great serpent Niðhǫggr, gnawing at the roots whilst the squirrel Ratatoskr journeys back and forth with insults and messages.

Asgard
Asgard is the home of Æsir,a rulling class of deities and a land more fertile than any other, blessed also with a great abundance of gold and jewels.
Asgard is surrounded by an incompleted wall,because a stone mason that Thor struck down when the gods learned he was a Hrimthurs (frost giant) in disguise.

Álfheim or known as Ljósálfheimr is a "Land of The Elf" or "Elfland".Is the home of Jósálfar light elves that ruled by Goddess Freya.A text said that Álfheim is a rare places but it said to be "beautiful than the sun”.

Niðavellir or known as Svartálfaheimr is translated as "new moon",is the realm of the Dwarfs.Dwarfs is known to be good with smiths and craftsmen who reside underground working the mines and forges. This realms is also the place for the dark elves.

Midgard
Midgard is also known as Earth,a place where humans lives.Midgard was surrounded by impassable sea that lives a creatures name Jörmungandr.
According to the Eddas (Icelandic literary works), Midgard will be destroyed at Ragnarök, the battle at the end of the world. Jörmungandr will arise from the ocean, poisoning the land and sea with his venom and causing the in sea to rear up and lash against the land.
The final battle will take place on the plane of Vígríðr, where Midgard and almost all life on it will be destroyed and sink beneath the waves. In the aftermath, Midgard will rise again, fertile and green in a new creation cycle.

Jötunheimr
Jötunheimr is a homeland of Jötnar, giants race of Norse Mythology.In Eddas,Jötnar described as having a dark forest and mountain peaks where winter never eases its frosty grip.
In Jötunheimr also where the incident of Odin sacrifice an eye for wisdom at the well of Mímisbrunnr took places.

Muspelheim is a place of the realm fire and was the first elemental world to emanate from the primordial void of Ginnungagap.Muspelheim was ruled by Surtr,a jötunn giant that will be the main character for Ragnorak where he will be engufl the flames to Midgard.

Helheim or "The Realms Of Hel" is the underworld for many deity that ruled by the deity of 'Hel' . In Norse,this underworld is more to a continuation of life elsewhere,neither a place of eternal bliss nor one of endless torment.

Top Norse Gods
The Father of All God
Odin was the King of Æsir clan and known as "The Father of All Gods".He was often described as a one-eyed,bearded old man that wearing a hat dan a cloak,who road a flying eight-legged horse that called as Sleipnir.
Odin is one of the most strongest and subsequently associated with several themes including wisddom,knowledge,healing,death and war.He ruled over "The Hall of The Slain" known as Valhalla.
The God Of Thunder and Lighting
Thanks to the Marvel Universe,Thor is one of the most famous Norse gods in today's world.He was the God of Thunder and Lightning who wielded the Mjölnir ,a devastatingly powerful hammer that could slay giants and smash mountains.
He was the son of the Odin and often regarded as the strongest of all the Norse deities since he was tasked with safeguarding Asgard,the stronghold of the Æsir.He was perhaps the most popular of all gods and was worshipped by most Vikings.
The God Of Mischevious
Another god that are famous in nowadays thanks to the Marvel Universe which is Loki the God of Mischevious.Althought in Norse mythology he wasn't the son of Odin and brother of Thor.
Instead he is the blood brother of Odin who lived amongst the Æsir.He has an ability to shapeshift into multiple of different forms.His relationship with other gods are complex,but he does help them sometimes and also hindered them.
Whilst he was decipted as more to mischief then pure evil,he is the chief engineer behind the death of the god Balder,by carving an arrow out of his only weakness, mistletoe.
The God Of Light and Purity
Balder is another son of Odin and half-brother to Thor.He was the god of Light and Purity.He was described as fair,kind and handsome god,whose beauty was unparalleled.He was also praised by other by his mercifulness.
Although it was believed he was immortal, he had been prophesied to die. To prevent this from happening his mother Frigg visited every entity in the cosmos to secure an oath from them that they wouldn't harm her son. She neglected to consult the mistletoe believing it too small and harmless to threaten the life of her son.
Loki got wind by this oversight and carved an arrow out of the mistletoe and thrown at Balder by his blind half-brother Hödr out of the jest and he fell dead.
The Silent God of Vengeance
Vidar was the son of Odin and the jötunn Grid.Vidar is mentioned to wear a thick shoe (like Thor) which is constantly mended by the god himself.Some also said that Vidar is as strong as his half brother Thor.
His association with vengeance probably stems from the foretelling of how he would avenge his father’s (Odin’s) death by killing the ferocious Fenrir, the monstrous wolf, at the Ragnarok.

The Queen Of The Aesir Gods
As the wife of Odin, Frigg was regarded as the Queen of the Æsir gods and therefore possibly the most important of all the Norse goddesses.
Worshipped as the goddess of the sky, Frigg was associated with wisdom, marriage, family and fertility. She was also blessed with the power of divination, although she never revealed her visions to anyone.
The Goddess Of Love And Fertility
Freya was the goddess of fate, love, beauty, gold, war and fertility. She was a member of the Vanir and ruled over the heavenly meadow of Fólkvangr, where half of all those who died in combat would go, whilst the other half were guided by the Valkyries to Valhalla which was ruled over by Odin.
She rode a chariot drawn by two cats and was often accompanied by a boar called Hildisvíni.
She practised Seidr, a form of magic that gifted her with the ability to control and manipulate the desires and prosperity of others. Her association with fate and destiny made her one of the most powerful Norse goddesses.
