Day 1 on Ketones

Things to know when starting Ketones

𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗔 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 about 30 minutes before drinking ketones - This helps with absorption for best results! Also, ketones work best on an empty stomach; however, if you have a sensitive stomach, eating a spoonful of no-sugar added peanut butter or a hard boiled egg 20 minutes before drinking your drink is okay while you adjust.
* START OFF SLOW... I recommend starting off with ½ pack at a time to help with stomach sensitivity.
- Day 1 morning - Mix up ½ pack (1 tbsp) caffeinated (colored/charge packs) with 12-20 ounces of water, ice if you like, in a shaker bottle. Tape the envelope closed for tomorrow.
- Day 1 afternoon - Mix up a different flavor ½ pack caffeine free (white packs) in the later afternoon between lunch and dinner.
- Day 2 Repeat that same schedule.
- Day 3 You can move into full packs. If that is too much for your belly, drop back to ½ pack for another dose or two.
• Mix your ketones in a shaker cup with 12-20 oz of water, ice if you want. Drink slowly over 20-45 minutes to allow absorption and also to avoid upsetting stomach. Do NOT gulp your ketones :-) If the taste is too strong, add more water, but make sure all of your drink is gone in no more than an hour.
• Do not premix! For best results, drink your ketones within an hour of mixing (ie. Don't mix the night before). There are no preservatives in the ketone drinks and the ketones start breaking down after time, and you want that to happen in your body :-)
• 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗧𝗼 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸 You can drink your ketones at any time during the day! I suggest in the am simply because they give you focus, energy and appetite suppression just to name a few, which will help you power through your day! You may drink your morning NAT before or after coffee, this is totally up to you. Drink your second drink when you need the most support. I like to have my after ketone around 3pm as a snack and energy boost between lunch and dinner. Caffeinated (charged) ketones have the equivalent caffeine to an 8 oz cup of coffee. If you are caffeinate sensitive, all of the NAT flavors are sold in all caffeine free as well.
• 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝘆𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗞𝗲𝘆! Your body will be flushing electrolytes as you adapt into ketosis. It is important to replace what you are losing! Drink half of your body weight in water a day and add electrolytes with sodium, magnesium and potassium! You can grab our Mitoplex that contains all of the electrolytes you need, or you can grab them from the pharmacy! *Watch for added sugars

● What can I mix Ketones with?
Essentially anything that is sugar-free or sweetened with keto-friendly sugars! Suggested are Water, Flavored Sparkling Waters (watch for added sugars), Unsweetened Almond Milk, Coffee, Cold Brew, Tea. Can be mixed Hot or Cold but do not boil.
● Why do they have so much Sodium? To replace what you are flushing as you go into ketosis. The ketones are attached to a mineral salt so it's not the same as white table salt.
This is essential and not a negative. Also why it is key to get that water in.
● Are Ketones A Meal Replacement? NO! The NAT ketone drinks are not high enough in calories, fat, or protein for a meal replacement; hence, why they do not break a fast. However, they do naturally suppress appetite! Ask me about our Keto/OS Pro as a light meal replacement/workout recovery drink/milkshakes.
● Do I Need to Drink Ketones with a Meal or Before? Ketones are absorbed quicker and easier on an empty stomach (1-1/2 hours before or after a meal), but if you have a sensitive belly, a little protein/fat before your NAT is okay (a hard boiled egg, a spoon of no-sugar added peanut butter).
● I'm going to the bathroom a lot. Is that normal? YES! Totally normal for your body to do the "Potty Yo-Yo" - As you adapt into ketosis, just like you will flush electrolytes, you will flush toxins..ie poop 😆. It's normal and will pass! The worse you were eating beforehand, the longer it can last. As your body adjusts to you drinking more water and having electrolytes, you will have less frequent runs to the bathroom.
