* all products we use during the sessions are vegan, meaning they don't contain animal ingredients and aren't tested on animals
* plastic materials are made from cornstarch PLA - it uses 65% less energy to be produced, generates 68% fewer greenhouse gases, and don't release toxic fumes when incinerated
* the containers we use to put vegan ink are made of wheat
* our disinfectant is vegan, biodegradable, 100% plant based, and free of petrochemicals
* we ask our clients to bring their own razor, but in case they forget we use a reusable metal razor with a disposable blade
* we have a premium tattoo after-care available in our shop for the best healing results. @manik.skincare is made 100% with organic ingredients, it's a mix of tradicional medicinal plants and uses sustainable packaging

is a vegan tattoo a real tattoo?
absolutely! the diference of a vegan and a "tradicional" tattoo is that it's not tested on, not contain animal derived ingredients, such as bone char, gelatin, glycerin, shellac or lanolin
we use only the best quality supplies and we're very proud to say it's 100% vegan
are the biodegradable supplies used at the studio going back to the land?
the plastic materials we use during our sessions are made of cornstarch PLA or wheat, and after used they're infected so it has to be incinerated
we believe it's a much better solution than the tradicional plastic cause it uses 65% LESS energy to be produced and generates 68% FEWER greenhouse gases and NON toxic fumes when incinerated
although getting a tattoo has it's impact, we've managed to considerably reduce the environmental footprint through the solutions we've found
how much does a tattoo cost at Jardim?
we have the minimum price of 85€ although each artist at Jardim Ecotattoo have their own price table
- keep in mind that all bodies and tattoos are unique and the placement and complexity of the illustration influences the final price

we're very happy to welcome everyone, but as we have a small space we recommend bringing 1 person máximum for your appointment

1.
start moisturizing the area of our tattoo from 2-3 days in advance - this will prepare your skin for healing
2.
if you can, come with your tattoo area shaved, or bring your own razor - so we don't need to use a disposable blade and reduce the environmental impact of our tattoo 🌱
3.
wear comfortable clothes, preferably dark colored, and with easy access to the area we're going to tattoo
4.
it's allowed to bring 1 friend during the session
5.
have a light meal before the session and, above all, come calmly and with an open heart ♡

se puderes, vem com a área já depilada ou traz a tua própria lâmina - assim não precisamos de usar uma lâmina descartável e reduzimos o impacto ambiental da nossa tatuagem 🌱

AFTER-CARE

remove the second skin gently 24 -48h after the session - you can use warm water to help loosen it
2.
WHEN USING COCONUT OIL/ MANIK BALM :: clean the area with unscented glycerine soap 1x/day and apply a thin layer of coconut oil or recommended tattoo balm 3-4 times a day during the healing time (typically 2-4 weeks)
WHEN USING TATTOO FILM GEL :: clean the area with unscented glycerine soap 1x/day and apply a thin layer of Tattoo Film Gel 1-2 times a day during the healing time (typically 2-4 weeks)
3.
keep the area clean and moisturized at all times
4.
avoid contact with potentially contaminated environments (such as sand, sea, or swimming pools) and direct sunlight exposure while the skin heals
5.
do not scratch, pick, or peel off any scabs - this could cause scarring or color loss
6.
after the tattoo has fully healed, continue to moisturize it with your regular lotion and apply sunscreen regularly

SE USAR ÓLEO DE COCO OU MANIK BALM :: limpa com sabão de glicerina no mínimo 1x/dia aplica óleo de coco ou Manik Balm 4x/dia durante o tempo de cicatrização (entre 2-4 semanas)
SE USAR TATTOO FILM GEL :: limpa com sabão de glicerina no mínimo 1x/dia aplica uma camada de Tattoo Film Gel durante o tempo de cicatrização (entre 2-4 semanas)

mantém a zona sempre limpa e hidratada

evita o contacto com ambientes sujos e contaminados (como areia, água do mar ou piscina) e a exposição direta ao sol enquanto a pele recupera

não coces ou arranques a crosta - isto pode criar uma falha na tatuagem
6.
depois da tatuagem já estar cicatrizada continua a hidratar e comeces a usar protetor solar regularmente
