Who We Are & What We Do
A community for creatives and entrepreneurs to connect through media and a variety of events designed to assist in the advancement of their careers.
Our Story
It all started in 2014 when a Rowan University sophomore named Lelai Givens banded with her group of friends to hold the first ever Notes of Hope Benefit Concert in a small Pitman, NJ cafe. The event was an opportunity for upcoming artists to showcase their talents and entrepreneurs to promote their businesses, all while raising money for an amazing cause.
The money raised through Notes of Hope assisted FaithSeeders Ministries with the cost of collecting and transporting school supplies, book bags, textbooks, and hygienic supplies to orphans affected by the Ebola crisis in Liberia, West Africa.
Notes of Hope proved to be a great platform for upcoming artists and a fun evening for the community. It also served as a great networking event for young creatives and entrepreneurs. Lelai loved every step of planning the concert, and seeing the final result was life changing. Witnessing the smiles, the love, the compassion, the collaboration, and the talent in the room made her realize that event planning was truly her passion.
By popular demand, Notes of Hope was made into an annual event. Because of her work through Notes of Hope, Lelai received the Purple Heart Award for American Business Ownership from The National Society of American Business Owners. This led to the creation of Lelai’s production company, LoveLee Productions, which became an LLC in 2017.
Through LoveLee Productions, Lelai has produced several short films, a web series, and numerous projects for clients such as promotional videos and event highlight videos. Lelai has also coordinated a variety of events including fashion shows, brunches, concerts, and even webinars.
Through these projects, she has been able to foster a sense of community among her peers. Many young entrepreneurs and creatives have made valuable connections while attending a LoveLee event or by working on one of LoveLee’s sets. Lelai’s passion has always been to provide opportunities for young entrepreneurs and creatives to continue advancing their skills. She also aims to encourage her peers to not be afraid of creating their own opportunities. Lelai’s goal through LoveLee Productions is to simply assist her generation’s businessmen and women on their paths to greatness.
