What we are
Pet Grief Therapy & Services
For those of us that form strong bonds with our pets, their passing can be more difficult than some human relationships we hold. Yet we are given very little time or support to grieve for this unique relationship. This service is for those that would like the space to experience and work through their grief.
As a Registered Social Worker & psychotherapist, Rhiannon provides virtual or in-community specialized grief counselling for people of all ages needing additional support as they navigate the unique sorrows and challenges of pet bereavement or the anticipated loss of an animal.
*Registered Social Work Services/Psychotherapy Services are often covered by Extended Health Care Benefits. Please verify with your insurance company about your personal coverage.
About Rhiannon
Give yourself permission to grieve & heal
Rhiannon helps pet parents move through the grieving process with the deeper understanding on how unique & intensively we can feel the human animal bond.
As a Registered Social Worker, Rhiannon has been providing psychotherapy services for over 10 years. However, as grief has a tendency to do, her own complicated grief experience threw her down a different path.
“A complicated loss can make you reevaluate your life and I needed to take step back from my profession and make a change.”
With her passion with the human animal connection, she dived into Pet Speciality focusing on holistic health and healing. She became a leader in her community providing advice to pet parents on how to heal their pet from the inside out. The connection between pets and peoples’ wellbeing is undeniable, so it seemed to make sense to try and keep our companion animals happier and healthier for longer.
It wasn’t long until Rhiannon realized that she had become a witness to those on a journey with their pet’s life story. She was given the privilege to be part of the grief pet parents shared with her.
“Pet grief is such a unique experience because only those really bonded with a pet can truly understand how heartbreaking it can be to lose that part of you. We consider this a disenfranchised grief because most of society as it stands today hasn’t given us permission to grieve in the way we should.”
Rhiannon took her own advice she had given to many of her clients and decided to find her middle path. Rhiannon continued to develop her expertise within human animal interactions & pet wellness. Along with her being a Certified Grief Counsellor, Rhiannon felt that her expertise can help those struggling with the impending or current loss of their pet.
Far too often, we deny ourselves the opportunity to properly grieve for this relationship. Many around us might not understand the bond you had was like no other and we are left feeling denied from a healthy grieving process. This service gives those that need that extra support, a nonjudgmental supportive space to help validate that your grief is real and deserves healing.
Rhiannon is a mother of two human children and 5 furbabies. She has practiced Animal
Assisted Therapy and practices within different therapeutic modalities including Trauma Informed Therapy, CBT, DBT, & Solution Focused Therapy.

Pet Euthanasia Support
Starting at $120/ hr
One of the hardest responsibilities we can have as a pet owner is being in charge of a pet's end-of-life journey. It can be surrounded by every feeling imaginable; anxiety, despair, anger, regret, guilt, compassion. It can be overwhelming to navigate these feelings alone while also being present in your pet's time of need. Whether you need extra support during end-of-life decisions, quality-of-life discussions or being present for you during that moment your pet passes, we are here for you. Even though, our ultimate goal is to prepare you to be present for your pet during the end-of-life moment, there may be circumstances in which this is not possible. We can act as your surrogate to ensure someone is there when your pet passes.
