Our Story
Welcome to Upton Barn, an Ottawa-based venue offering intimate outdoor weddings and retreats come summer 2025. We are so excited to share our journey as we inch closer towards our opening date, sharing the things we do know and what we learn along the way!
We purchased our current property following the complete renovation and sale of our previous home. It was during the sale of our home in 2021, that we really decided what dreams we wanted to pursue and what would also fulfill our mutual love for farming, design, gardening and landscape. Happily ever after, we were able to move our little family onto a 60 acre property where we would begin building our dream of a wedding venue and event space, Upton Barn!
We cannot wait to share more as we prepare to open our venue in summer 2025. We invite you to follow our journey as we share our ongoing progress along with other essential updates and important announcements.

Welcome to Upton Barn, an intimate and sophisticated barn venue & retreat location. Guests can enjoy complete privacy and panoramic views of private hayfields, gardens, wildflowers and more.
Upton Barn is nestled within the township of Drummond, just 40 minutes southwest of Ottawa and adjacent to popular tourist destinations such as Perth and Carleton Place. Our white barn overlooks a private, gravel courtyard enclosed by lush hydrangea gardens and maple trees that showcase vibrant autumn foliage. A charming pathway, lined with wildflowers and natural landscapes, extends parallel to the courtyard and leads to a secluded, elevated rock formation providing the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable ceremony.
